About Us
Purpose, motivation and vision
SPIN remote's aim and mission is to reduce a growing complexity in people's lives, advocating for smart and simple solutions. We do this by creating simple solutions for complex problems: we want to bring back simplicity to the world around you, by bringing together what you really use while stripping away everything you don't really need.
We are passionate about combining simplicity with an enhanced user experience, turning something functional into a fun, exciting and playful experience.
With the launch of our first product, the Seamless Device Controller SDC-1, SPIN remote eliminates the complexity around steering home devices through multiple controls and remotes. Its seamless functionality allows you to steer your smart & non-smart devices with one simple gesture. Its award-winning design adds to a superior & enhanced user experience.

Advisory board
The 3 co-founders had initially been in informal contact with Lou Schreurs, an established product development senior executive at Bang & Olufsen. Throughout 2015, Lou Schreurs provided the young entrepreneurs with some guidance on topics like product development and quality control. As the product development was heading for its last stages, the B&O executive brought two further senior executives into the mix, Reinier Jens and Alex Korthals, both with relevant experience in consumer electronics. The three gentlemen immediately acknowledged the potential of the start-up's mission as well as its first innovation.
In January 2016 SPIN remote appointed these three experts as advisors to their Advisory Board in order to further support the expansion of their retail and manufacturing activities. January 2017 Lou Schreurs laid down his role as formal advisor as he accepted a position as Vice President BU Connected Home at HARMAN International.
All three advisors have held key leadership roles in top consumer electronics manufacturing and trading companies.
